  3. Get Out Drop-in Sports Night

    Get Out drop-in sports night offers a fun, safe space for youth to play a variety of non-competitive sports. Youth get to help set the night’s agenda, choosing their sports and activities or simply just hanging out. Snacks, beverages and small giveaways are included. For Grades 7-10.

    Get Out drop-in sports night offers a fun, supervised, safe place for youth in Grades 7 to 10 to play in a variety of non-competitive sports every Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. at Banff Community High School. You get to help set the night's agenda, choosing your sport and other activities. Snacks and beverages, plus small giveaways are part of the evening.

    Work on a project, fix something broken, complete a design or upcycle an old item at Tinkering Time, held Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the lower level of the Banff Canmore Community Foundation, 214 Banff Avenue, back entrance. Free. Some materials and tools are provided, or you can bring your own. All ages welcome. Parent participation required for those 13 and younger.

    Bundle up for a winter walk with a Parks Canada guide. Come prepared to experience the wonder and cold of the season as you search for signs of Banff’s winter wildlife. Meet at the Banff Train Station then walk along the Fenland Trail. Register in person with Parks Canada Visitor Centre staff (on Banff Avenue) by 12 p.m. the day of the walk. Group size is limited to 12 participants. Headlamps will be provided for the evening walks. NOTE: Programs may be cancelled due to extreme weather.
