Review your Property Assessment notice
Property Assessment notices have been mailed to all property owners in Banff. If you have not received your assessment notice, call the Town at 403.762.1230. Please review your assessment in case of errors - you can appeal your assessment notice, but you cannot appeal your tax notice. Your property assessment determines your share of taxes needed to pay for all municipal services and programs in Banff. Call the Town with questions and concerns. Many issues can be resolved without needing to file a formal appeal, but if you need to file a complaint to the independent Assessment Review Board, you must submit before the deadline on April 19, 2021. For more information, visit banff.ca/Assessment.
With the weather warming up Banff, gardeners' thoughts are turning to sowing seeds. But since we can't have back-yard gardens that attract wildlife into town, the three community greenhouses are a great option. For residents who would like a greenhouse plot in 2021, it's time to participate in the plot lottery. From now until March 28, the Banff Greenhouse Gardening Society is taking applications to participate in the lottery. For more information and the link to register for the lottery, visit banff.ca/Greenhouse.
