Banff National Park Bike Fest will be held June 12-15 in the Town of Banff and throughout Banff National Park. There will be some traffic delays and road closures to accommodate the event.
Thursday, June 12
Buffalo Street from Otter St. to St. Julien Way will be accessible to ascending vehicles only.
The descending lane will be closed. Traffic will be re-routed to St. Julien Way or Tunnel Mountain Drive from 5-9 p.m.
Friday, June 13
Expect cyclists and traffic delays along the Bow Valley Parkway from Lake Louise to Banff from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday, June 14
Vermilion Lakes Road will be closed from 7-11 a.m.
The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.:
Banff Ave., 200 & 300 blocks
Banff Ave., north bound lane, 400 block
Wolf Street and Moose Street between Banff Ave. and Beaver Street
Beaver Street between Wolf Street and Moose Street
Please use Muskrat, Marten and Lynx Streets as alternate routes.
Sunday, June 15
Expect cyclists along Banff Ave. from Beaver Street to Tunnel Mountain Road, along Tunnel Mountain Road to Tunnel Mountain Drive, along Tunnel Mountain Drive to Buffalo Street and along Beaver Street from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.:
Tunnel Mountain Drive
Beaver Street between Wolf Street and Elk Street
Beaver Street between Moose Street and Elk Street will be open to local traffic only from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
