Financial support for more vaccine clinics
Council approved up to $20,000 for the Town of Banff to be able to host more vaccine clinics in the community. Following the success of the two clinics held Jan. 9 and 10 at Town Hall, which saw 430 people receive vaccines, council dedicated the funds to be able to hold additional clinics. The money will come from the Economic Recovery Fund. Information on the dates of any town-sponsored vaccine clinics will be published online at Banff.ca/covidhelp, on the town’s social media platforms and in the local newspaper. The Town of Banff also continues to lobby the province for a large-scale vaccine clinic in the community.
Vaccines are also available at local medical clinics, pharmacies and through Alberta Health Services by calling 811.
Support services continue to be available for residents. Visit Banff.ca/covidhelp for details, or email help@banff.ca or call 403.762.1251.
