 The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre

The recreation centre will operate on reduced holiday hours on December 25, 2021 and January 1, 2022.

The Fenlands has extra programming in the facility this week. Proof of vaccination is required. View the special holiday drop-in schedule at https://banff.ca/dropin

 Roam Public Transit

Banff, Lake Louise and Canmore/Banff Regional routes will operate as normal, with regular weekend schedules for Christmas and New Year’s Day. Check roamtransit.com for any service and weather-related schedule updates. The Roam Customer Service office will be closed from December 25 to January 4, however phones will be checked daily for lost and found and other messages.

 Natural Christmas Tree disposal

Please dispose your tree at the Fire Hall parking lot on Beaver Street between December 26 and January 14. Please make sure all decorations and tinsel are removed. Do NOT leave your tree at neighbourhood bins.

 Christmas Wrapping disposal

Christmas wrapping paper, paper gift bags, paper gift tags and cardboard boxes (flattened) can go in the your neighbourhood paper recycling bit, but remember to remove all plastic wrap and plastic tape. To avoid contaminating the recycling, place plastic wrap, plastic bags, tape, ribbons, Styrofoam and foil wrapping in the garbage bin for landfill. Thanks for taking time to sort!

And a special thanks to those who use reusable gift bags, cloth wrapping or packaging – you know who you are!
