This weekend is your last chance to provide your feedack on the draft recommendations in the recreation facilities master plan. The survey, which can be accessed through banff.ca/recplan, closes Monday (July 29).
The recreation facilities masterplan, once adopted, will provide direction for managing and developing parks, recreational facilities, trails, playing fields, infrastructure (such as public washrooms) and investment for the next 10 years. Recommendations range from developing a new playground east of Banff Avenue to using the recreation ground playing fields as an off-leash dog park in the winter.
More than 210 residents have responded so far on draft recommendations covering indoor facilities, playing fields, trails and playgrounds. A final report with recommendations and survey results will be considered by Council at their September 9 meeting.
