Food is my teacher: cultural potluck and film showing
Discover the power of food at this community potluck, film showing and panel discussion. This CBC documentary highlights the work of some local Bow Valley groups and demonstrates how food heals, unites and promotes inclusion during the most difficult times.

Learn the basics at Crochet for Beginners! In this session, you’ll learn the proper way to hold your crochet hook and how to make chains, yarnovers, single crochets, and double crochets. At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a dishcloth and your very own crochet hook, so you can make more at home.

Guitar for Beginners
This six-week introductory course will teach you basic chords and chord progressions, strumming patterns, and basic music theory. Whether you are new to guitar or have been out of practice and want to work your way back into it, this course is designed to build your musical confidence.

Intermediate Guitar
Take the next step in fine-tuning your guitar skills. Learn more about music theory and scales, different playing styles such as fingerpicking, and more complex strumming patterns and chord shapes. Ideal for those with foundational/basic guitar knowledge.

Community Coffeehouse
Seniors got talent! Come by and enjoy a hot beverage, or mocktail with a sweet treat while listening to the sounds created by the some of the best Bow Valley Senior talent. We will feature local senior musicians, singing, playing, reading their poetry and showing off their creative artform while also accepting donations to support artist registration fees for Banff's emerging painters, sculptors and photographers entering the annual Homegrown Art Show. A coffeehouse is a social event, often held to raise funds for and generate awareness of a social cause or other event.
