Summer FunThis popular summer program is not just about child care for school aged children, but creating experiences and memories that last a lifetime.

Please note, programming is not available to participants who live outside of the Bow Valley.

Camp Hours 

  • July 5 - August 27, 2021
  • 8:30a.m. -  5:00p.m.
  • No program on weekends or statutory holidays

  • Fireweeds (entering Grade 1)
  • Hoodoos (entering Grade 2)
  • Summits (entering Grade 3)
  • Sundogs (entering Grade 4-6)

  • Resident fee $46/day
  • Non-resident fee $66/day

Location

  • All groups located at Banff Elementary School July 5- August 20
  • Hoodoos, Summits & Sundogs will be located at the Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre August 23-27
  • Dragonflies & Fireweeds will remain located at Banff Elementary School August 23-27

Registration

Be prepared and complete the necessary forms before you arrive to your first day of camp!

Before you register:

  • Please visit www.banff.ca/register and create an account for your family
  • Decide which dates you will need for each child you are registering
  • Have an emergency contact name and phone number, other than the child’s primary caregivers, ready to provide

 To register:

  • When registration is open to you, please send a registration request to community.services@banff.ca
  • Include in your request:
    • Your name
    • Children’s names
    • One or two phone numbers we can reach you during the daytime on weekdays
  • A Client Services team member will phone within two business days to process your registration
  • If Client Services is unable to connect within two business days of your request they will proceed with responding to other registrations requests in waiting

Drop Off & Pick Up

Summer Fun is a closed campus- open strictly to staff and program participants. Upon arrival on campus, caregivers will drop their child off to a designated entry, to be welcomed by one of our friendly leaders.

Drop off is between 8:30a.m.-9:00a.m.. If you are arriving after 9:00a.m., please call 403-762-1927 to connect with staff on campus or offsite if your child’s group has departed for the day.  
Pick up is between 4:00-5:00p.m.. If you require pick up before 4p.m., please speak with your child’s program leader.

To support COVID-19 health and safety recommendations, each Summer Fun group has its own designated entrance and exit on campus as follows:

  • Dragonflies (entering Kindergarten)- Big Horn Street entrance
  • Fireweeds (entering Grade 1)- Moose Street field door
  • Hoodoos (entering Grade 2)- Main entrance of BES on Squirrel St.
  • Summits (entering Grade 3)- Elk Street field door, at play structure
  • Sundogs (entering Grade 4-6)- Elk Street field door, at picnic area

Please look for signage for you child’s group upon arrival. Updated location information will be posted in August for the last week of program where Hoodoos, Summits and Sundogs will be based out of the Fenlands Recreation Centre.
