The Town of Banff has developed three recreation-related master plans. Each has been adopted by council and can be viewed on this page.
Banff Recreation Grounds Redevelopment Project
The Recreation Grounds Redevelopment Plan was adopted by town council on March 23, 2015. It will help guide development in the area over the next five to 10 years.
Trails Master Plan
The Trails Master Plan was adopted by town council on February 23, 2015. It will be used to help guide the development of trails and trail maintenance for the next 10 years.
Recreation Programs & Services Master Plan
The Recreation Programs and Services Master Plan was adopted by council on March 9, 2015. This plan will guide service delivery of these programs over the next five years.
Recreation Facilities Master Plan
The Recreation Facilities Master Plan was adopted by town council in November 2013.
This plan will guide recreation facility enhancements in the Town of Banff for the next decade and beyond.
Its vision reflects an overall vision for a healthy community: well-used facilities accessible to all and adaptable to a multitude of uses; a thriving community mixing with visitors in a broad range of activities; and well-connected trails dotted with visitors and locals who leave their vehicles behind to interact with the world around them.
