Into the Wild Family Nature Play
Come out to the Rundle Cabin in the Recreation Grounds and celebrate Recreation and Park Month by playing outdoors with a certified children and youth forest school leader. You and your child will enjoy a morning learning about our local flora and fauna along with some creative ideas on how to make things in the forest the newest, brightest and best toy!

MultiSport Skills Development
If your child loves playing all different types of sports, then this MultiSport program is for perfect for them! Your child will join our amazing local coaches with sport specific expertise and will learn fundamental skills and techniques from running, catching, throwing, dribbling and more. Each week they will get to build on these skills and put them into play during some fun scrimmage time! Equipment is provided. Open to all genders and abilities.

Tiny Tykes Bike Rodeo
Join the Town of Banff and the Family Resource Network for a fun morning of bike safety and a tiny ride. During this rodeo your little ripper will have an opportunity to ride or push though our bike course and learn some skills and safety tips. Bring a picnic and have an active and fun morning followed by lunch in the park. Each little one will get a gift for their ride and parents or guardians, some great resources. This session is being held as a part of Bike Month.

Rise and Shine
Join a youth leader for some fun indoor and outdoor activities all summer long. Each week participants will take part in a variety of sports, free play, arts, crafts and more. Open to all genders and abilities. This program is generously funded by the Wim and Nancy Pauw Foundation.

Stay Safe for Youth
Real-world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges. The Red Cross Stay Safe! program teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve their own safety. Whether in their community or on their own, this group will be given better tools to Stay Safe! in a variety of different situations. Open to all genders and abilities.

Red Cross Babysitting
The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. This updated curriculum, complete with new science, also provides improved learning when it comes to giving the appropriate care in the event of an emergency. Open to all genders and abilities.
