Beginner Acrylic Painting
Join us for this beginner art class designed to teach you about the fundamentals of using acrylic paints. Learn how to mix colours, use a variety of paint brushes and create a painting from start to finish. When possible, we’ll explore painting outdoors in the open air. A fun and refreshing environment to learn something new. Materials are provided.

Beginner Drawing Fundamentals
Learn the absolute basics of drawing, starting with the versatility of the pencil. Focus on the three basic shapes and loose sketching exercises to warm up the creative mind. The intention behind this course is to inspire you to record your experiences by hand to translate what you see on paper. From still life objects to landscapes to understanding human form, you'll reconnect with the love of drawing and fill your sketchbook with new life.

Crochet for Beginners
Learn the basics at Crochet for Beginners! In this session, you’ll learn the proper way to hold your crochet hook and how to make chains, yarnovers, single crochets, and double crochets. At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a dishcloth and your very own crochet hook, so you can make more at home.

Winter Scenes Acrylic Painting
A three-week course where students create a new painting on small canvases each session. Discover new and creative ways to work with acrylic that captures the winter season. From pinecones to snow covered trees, you'll find inspiration from nature.

Guitar for Beginners
This six-week introductory course will teach you basic chords and chord progressions, strumming patterns, and basic music theory. Whether you are new to guitar or have been out of practice and want to work your way back into it, this course is designed to build your musical confidence.

Intermediate Guitar

Welcome Halloween - dress up in your best costume and come enjoy a mocktail with a sweet treat while dancing and listening to the sounds created by some of the best Bow Valley talent.  We will feature local musicians, singing and playing in their creative art form while also accepting donations to support artist registration fees for Banff's emerging painters, sculptors and photographers entering the annual Homegrown Art Show.  A coffeehouse is a social event, often held to raise funds for and generate awareness of a social cause or other event.
