CP Rail is replacing the bridge over Echo Creek west of Mt. Norquay Road in the Town of Banff. The bridge replacement project will include the placement of rock on both banks of Echo Creek immediately below the bridge and below the high water mark.
Bridge construction is planned from August 15, 2020 to September 30, 2020.
Norquay Road will be intermittently closed at the railway crossing throughout the day on Wednesday, August 26. Delays are expected to last between 5 and 15 minutes every half hour.
Work on the project will be suspended from September 4 to 13.
During the project timeframe, people should expect to see or hear heavy machinery, rail equipment, banging, idling trucks, dust, voices, and reversing trucks. Construction work will occur during daytime hours and nighttime work is also expected.
