Banff Viewpoints Public Input

Viewpoints Banner

The Town of Banff is looking for new and smarter ways to engage with people in Banff.

We want your viewpoints to help make Banff better. The Viewpoints Online Panel is a convenient way for you to provide input when you want and how you want. By registering we will send you notification of new online consultation projects and updates on how your input is used.

Whether it’s 2 p.m. or 2 a.m., you can provide your opinions and insights on issues that affect you – on any device.

It is very important for us to hear from a wide range of people, of all ages and backgrounds, as we continue to build an even better Banff.

When you register, we ask detailed demographic questions. We will keep this completely confidential. We will never share your information or email. We use it for presenting a combined picture of all respondents to online engagement. The information about you and other registered panel members help us grow an online community that best represents Banff. From time to time, we will seek input on topics that are relevant to certain segments of our community.

We want to hear your local knowledge and opinions, learn about your needs, share information with you, and ask you to express what’s most important to you.

Upcoming Public Input Sessions

Congestion, parking challenges, the cost to local property taxpayers, and the environmental impact associated with the millions of visitors who come to Banff by car every year continues to affect us all. As a town limited to 4-square-kilometres in size, Banff will continue to experience congestion as tourist visitation is expected to increase. Therefore, we are looking for a solution that protects our environment and residents, while still providing our visitors with accessible ways to experience our town.

We are undertaking a public engagement program to seek feedback on a preliminary Parking Management Plan for Banff.
