Banff Avenue Pedestrian Zone
The 100 and 200 blocks of Banff Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic this summer to provide more space for pedestrians to practice physical distancing, and to help local businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Banff Design Guidelines
The Banff Design Guidelines provide a framework for evaluating the aesthetic quality of development proposals. The intention of the guidelines is to ensure that the town's built environment reflects the spectacular surrounding natural environment while recognizing Banff's location in a national park and a World Heritage Site.

Bear Street Shared Street
The Town of Banff has piloted temporary seating and amenities on Bear Street for the past four summers. Banff residents are invited to provide input into the plan to create a permanent shared street.

Streetscape Design Guidelines
The Streetscape Design Guidelines are a planning document to help with street reconstruction projects in Banff. These guidelines will be applied to both municipal projects and private redevelopments so the Town’s transportation goals are reflected in the design.

Wolf & Caribou Street Improvements
Roadway and sidewalk improvements were made to Wolf Street and Caribou Street in the spring of 2018. This is part of a three year trial to determine the future, permanent street designs.
