Recreation and Parks MonthRecreation and Parks month is a fun and exciting way to celebrate all of the activities you love to do with your family and friends. 

Join us on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the rec grounds for a BBQ and fun activities to celebrate our parks and recreation.

Yoga in the Park 9 – 9:45 a.m. 
Drawing in Nature 14+ 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Try Skateboarding 6+ 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Story Time in the Park 10 – 11:30 a.m.
Basketball & other games 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  
Meditation 10:30 – 11 a.m. 
Japanese Tea Ceremony 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. 
Drowning Prevention Booth 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. 
Free BBQ for all participants 11:30 a.m – 2 p.m. 
Community Social Assessment Booth 11 a.m – 2 p.m 
Parks Canada's Mountain Wit 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Bow Valley Cruisers 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Art in the Park with Mindy 1 – 2 p.m.  
Try Biking for beginners 1 – 3 p.m.

Voyager Canoe Paddle 6 – 7 p.m. Banff Canoe Clue
Evening Yoga Session 7 – 8 p.m. Tunnel Mountain Reservoir

Into the Wild Family Nature Play
The Into the Wild Family Nature Play is an outdoor, nature-based program for families with young children. Developing outdoor skills and knowledge while playing in nature, this program focuses on building the family’s relationship to the outdoors. Everyone welcome.

Family Wildlife Safety 
Bring the whole family to The Fenlands and join the Town of Banff and Parks Canada for a morning of wildlife safety education. The kids can play in the Family Fun Zone and parents can enjoy a cup of coffee while Parks Canada staff offer some tips and tricks on best practices for residents to peacefully co-exist with wildlife in and around the town site.
