The Town of Banff in the middle of the majestic Canadian Rockies is the perfect place to celebrate Canada's birthday on July 1 of each year.
Join us in Central Park for the opening ceremonies, enjoy the afternoon programming at the Louis Trono Gazebo and family fun zone. New for 2013 is our artisan style market and additional food booths. The Canada Day parade runs the length of Banff Avenue starting promptly at 5 p.m. After the parade, head back to Central Park for an evening of great entertainment. Performances run until 11 p.m. when the day’s events end with our always spectacular fireworks show.
Parade Registration
Entering a float in the Banff Canada Day parade is an excellent, no-cost way to spotlight your business or organization in front of thousands. As well, you'll be contributing to community spirit and creating a fun activity for you and your staff.
Parade theme - Your entry may represent this year’s theme of Multiculturalism in Canada, or you may wish to celebrate Canada’s birthday and all things Canadian. We do ask that your float theme be relevant to Canada Day.
We're happy to help. If you need an idea for a float, suggestions on where parade supplies can be found, or more information on how to obtain a certificate of insurance, for example, simply call our Canada Day Coordinator at 403.762.1221.
To enter, please review our parade policy (PDF) and then complete our online parade registration form. You must show proof of insurance with your submitted form. Entry deadline is June 15, 2013.
