Alberta Winter Games
2014 Alberta Winter Games2014 Alberta Winter Games
The Town of Banff hosted the 2014 Alberta Winter Games with the Town of Canmore in February 2014, welcoming more than 2,500 athletes, coaches and officials to the Bow Valley – not to mention the 2,200 volunteer that helped bring the games together.

The Games
Banff hosted the first ever Alberta Winter Games in 1976. They’re held every two years, and include 19 sports with representatives from eight regions of the province. This is the premier sporting event for young athletes ages 11-17 in Alberta. For some, it’s their first time competing at the provincial level.
