TOB_Election.jpgThe Town of Banff is currently recruiting Deputy Returning Officers (DRO).

The DRO is primarily responsible for administering voter statements, reviewing voter identification and issuing ballots to qualified electors. The DRO may also greet, assist and direct voters before they register to vote and assist the returning officer as required. The DRO must be available for half day training on September 28, and to work on Election Day (approx. 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 16, 2017).

DRO Pay Rates:
  • Election Day - $250
  • Advance Vote Day - October  7 - $100
  • Advance Vote Day - October 12 - $150
  • Training (Half Day) - $75

  • 18 years of age 
  • Not related to any candidate.
  • Available to attend training session 
  • Available to work Monday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills and be experienced dealing with sensitive situations. Preference may be given to applicants with previous election experience.
