Registry of Recognized Heritage Resources
Heritage PlaqueThe Town of Banff Registry of Recognized Heritage Resources is a planning tool, used primarily for awarding heritage incentives to resources that are ranked ‘A’, ‘B’, or ‘C’ in accordance with their heritage value and/or character. Inclusion on the registry is voluntary and must be authorized by the resource owner.

Properties included on the registry are eligible for designation and protection as a Municipal Historic Resource.

Heritage Plaque Program
The heritage plaque program began in 1996 and has grown to include over 40 heritage plaques located throughout the Town of Banff. The plaques are a great way to learn more about the events, people and places that have shaped this community. Properties on the inventory of listed heritage properties are eligible to receive blue plaques.
