Out of School Club
out of school clubThe Out-of-School Club (OSC) is a provincially licenced and accredited program offering childcare for children in kindergarten to grade 6 during the school year.
Activities vary each day and range from experimenting in the kitchen to heading outdoors to get some fresh air. A healthy snack is provided in the afternoon.

Program Calendars

OSC has two program rooms in the Banff Elementary School, both located on the ground floor. Room #325 for Grade 1-6 children and Room #326 for kindergarten children. Access to OSC is via the Big Horn Street doors, on the staff parking lot side of the school.

The Town of Banff is situated on Treaty 7 territory and home of the Kainai, Piikani, Siksika, Tsuut'ina, Stoney-Nakoda Tribes and Metis Nation, Region 3.

Program Hours:
OSC hours compliment the Canadian Rockies Public School calendar.  

  • Professional Development (PD) Fridays from noon to 3 p.m. (Grades 1-6 only)
  • Professional Development (PD) Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Kindergarten only)
  • Full day non-school days such as Winter Break & Spring Break from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Teachers convention from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Parent-teacher interviews from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Weekdays and extended care for the above days from 3-6 p.m.
  • Please note, there are no programs on statutory holidays
