Annual permit renewals for businesses located in residential areas

Development Permits must be renewed every year for Home Occupations (home-based businesses) and every two years for Bed & Breakfast operations to ensure that operators remain in compliance with the regulations in the Town of Banff Land Use Bylaw and the original conditions of approval, without adversely affecting neighbours.

If you are a permit holder your renewal notices and forms have been mailed to you and must be returned no later than November 30, 2012. If you have not received your renewal notice and forms, please contact Planning and Development as soon as possible.

If you are a neighbouring property owner with concerns regarding an adjacent home occupation or bed and breakfast operation, please submit your comments or concerns in writing no later than November 30, 2012 to: Planning & Development, 110 Bear Street, Box 1260, Banff AB, T1L 1A1 or via fax at 403.762.1260.

More information about the development permit renewal process for businesses located in residential areas can be obtained from the Town of Banff Planning and Development Department by phone at 403.762.1215
