Current Job Opportunities
Communications and Advertising Coordinator
TERM: July 2015 - August 2016
We are the Town of Banff. We are the local government of a national park community and a Canadian cultural icon; a big name and a small town, with a communications goal to inform, inspire and involve and connect community. Combine your recently completed education or work experience with your unique characteristics as an organized and deadline-oriented communications professional and this opportunity at the Town of Banff will pique your interest.

During this term you will focus on coordinating the production of the Town’s varied and multiple digital and printed communications materials.

You are client-service oriented, exuding professionalism and excellent judgement. Your communication skills, both written and verbal are outstanding, as demonstrated by your ability to turn a phrase, your abhorrence of jargon and your lack of reliance on spell checker. You are described as a super organized individual who is meticulous about detail and accuracy and who can handle multiple projects.

You are a digital native – entrenched in the internet and knowledgeable on the ins and outs of website content. You are comfortable working with the MS Office and have experience with content management systems and in Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).

As a recent graduate in a related field of communications, public relations, journalism or visual communications and with one to three years’ work experience (or a combination of education and experience) this position is suited to you and if you know your way around government, even better.
