  1. Avalanche Skill Training Level 2

    April 1, 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

    Avalanches are the single greatest hazard facing backcountry skiers. Learn about terrain, snowpack, weather, human decision-making and how they all interact together to cause avalanches. Course includes four days of instruction, books, use of safety and snow study equipment, and transportation. An AST 2 certificate will be issued on successful completion.   1. Drop-in 50+ Fitness

    April 1, 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM @ 101 Bear Street, above the library, in the Pioneer Room

    50+ Fitness focuses on cardiovascular, coordination, balance and core strength. All abilities welcome. Drop-in 50+ Fitness is held Mondays and Thursdays, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at 101 Bear Street, above the library, in the Pioneer Room from April 1 – June 28.

  2. The Basement – Youth Drop-in

    April 1, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Banff Canmore Community Foundation

    The Basement is a new youth drop-in centre below the Banff Canmore Community Foundation. It’s a space where youth can hang out, play games, do homework, work on art projects, create music, or just socialize. There are board games, foosball, shuffleboard, instruments, books, WiFi and a popcorn machine. There will be weekly activities – rock climbing, skateboarding, bowling and more. Healthy snacks available daily. This program is generously supported by the Pauw Foundation. For Grades 7-10.

  3. Drop-in Public Swimming

    April 1, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Sally Borden Building, Banff Centre

    The Sally Borden Building at the Banff Centre is home to a 25-metre pool, hot tub, wading pool and steam room. Lifejackets are provided at no charge. You can rent towels, purchase swim diapers and other aquatic accessories. Public swimming is supported in part by the Town of Banff. Pool schedules are subject to change.   4. Drop-in Zumba

    April 1, 5:45 PM - 6:45 PM @ 101 Bear Street, above the library, in the Pioneer Room

    Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music/dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, fun and easy-to-do workout. The aerobic/fitness interval training tone and sculpt the body. No experience necessary. For ages 16+. It's held Mondays, 5:45-6:45 p.m. from April 1-April 29.

    April 1, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ 101 Bear Street, above the library, in the Pioneer Room

    Yin/Yang Yoga blends two styles of yoga bringing together the benefits of passive yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures. For ages 16+. This drop-in class is held Mondays, April 1-June 28 (excluding stat holidays) at 101 Bear Street, above the library, in the Pioneer Room.
