    This program is an entertaining and informative way to make the most of your time in Banff National Park. New residents to Banff & Lake Louise discover how they can become knowledgeable locals and ambassadors to visitors. Learn about wildlife, local history, landmarks, park rules and how to stay safe in the park. Learn about community resources and activities in Banff National Park. Registration is not required, but arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the session.

  3. Potty Time

    September 19, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    Potty training can be a rewarding yet frustrating time for both parent and child. Potty training methods come with positives and pitfalls; there is no right way. This workshop will explore popular methods commonly used and the pros and cons of each. Feedback from past participants has shown it’s never too early to start thinking about potty training. Come and learn this information before your child is showing signs of readiness.   6. The Basement – Youth Drop-in

    September 19, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Banff Canmore Community Foundation

    The Basement is a new youth drop-in centre below the Banff Canmore Community Foundation. It’s a space where youth can hang out, play games, do homework, work on art projects, create music, or just socialize. There are board games, foosball, shuffleboard, instruments, books, WiFi and a popcorn machine. There will be weekly activities – rock climbing, skateboarding, bowling and more. Healthy snacks available daily. This program is generously supported by the Pauw Foundation. For Grades 7-10.

  7. Drop-in Public Swimming

    The Sally Borden Building at the Banff Centre is home to a 25-metre pool, hot tub, wading pool and steam room. Lifejackets are provided at no charge. You can rent towels, purchase swim diapers and other aquatic accessories. Public swimming is supported in part by the Town of Banff.
