Banff's Special Events

  1. Lake Louise AUDI FIS Ski World Cup

    November 30 - December 2 @ Lake Louise Ski Resort

    Watch the fastest skiers in the world begin the World Cup speed circuit at the Lake Louise Ski Resort. The Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup features speed events on the World Cup circuit and will play host to the first downhill and Super-G races of the season. This is the only event of its kind in Canada. The men's downhill takes place on November 24 and the Super-G on November 25. The women take to the slopes November 30 and December 1 for the downhill races and December 2 for the Super-G races.

  6. Zero Waste Holiday Workshop

    December 1, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ 211 Bear Street

    Join the The Bear Minimum & the Town of Banff for a Zero Waste Holiday workshop. We’ll have fun, get in the holiday spirit, and learn how to reduce as much waste as possible for the greenest holiday season yet! Activities will include a DIY gift demo, zero-waste wrapping tips, and upcycled decoration making. We will supply materials but any upcycled contributions you can make are appreciated. If you have mason jars (or any other re-used jar), old linens (sheets, t-shirts, etc.), please bring them with you!

    Stop by the Banff Public Library for an hour of creative crafts, exciting activities and invigorating reading materials. Ages 4-7 are welcome from 1-2 p.m. and ages 8-12 are welcome from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Spots guaranteed to the first 15 participants.
