  1. Banff & Lake Louise Ambassador Program

    October 17, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ 101 Bear Street, above the library

    This program is an entertaining and informative way to make the most of your time in Banff National Park. New residents to Banff & Lake Louise discover how they can become knowledgeable locals and ambassadors to visitors. Learn about wildlife, local history, landmarks, park rules and how to stay safe in the park. Learn about community resources and activities in Banff National Park. Registration is not required, but arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the session.

  1. Nighty-Night, Sleep Tight for Infants

    October 17, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    This workshop on sleep routines is hosted by Bow Valley Parent Link. Discussion topics will include different sleep plan options, temperament and your baby, daily routines and schedules, the pros and cons of different sleep training methods, and resources that fit your needs. This workshop is for parents with children under 12 months of age. Please sign-up at least one week in advance to secure your spot.

    Children 2-6 are invited, along with their parents, caregivers or family members to participate in a half hour drop-in program. Each week a new theme is explored that features related stories, songs, rhymes and finder plays.

    Children 0-2 are invited along with their parents, caregivers, and/or family members to participate in a half hour drop-in program that includes rhymes and rhythms, bouncing, active songs, finger plays and stories. This program promotes early language development and positive child/adult interactions and bonding.

  4. The Basement – Youth Drop-in

    October 17, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Banff Canmore Community Foundation

    The Basement is a new youth drop-in centre below the Banff Canmore Community Foundation. It’s a space where youth can hang out, play games, do homework, work on art projects, create music, or just socialize. There are board games, foosball, shuffleboard, instruments, books, WiFi and a popcorn machine. There will be weekly activities – rock climbing, skateboarding, bowling and more. Healthy snacks available daily. This program is generously supported by the Pauw Foundation. For Grades 7-10.

  5. Drop-in Public Swimming

    October 17, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Sally Borden Building, Banff Centre

    The Sally Borden Building at the Banff Centre is home to a 25-metre pool, hot tub, wading pool and steam room. Lifejackets are provided at no charge. You can rent towels, purchase swim diapers and other aquatic accessories. Public swimming is supported in part by the Town of Banff.   6. Good Food Box

    The Good Food Box is an affordability program of the Community Services department. The Good Food Box is available to residents of Banff. How the Good Food Box Works: Participants pre-order and pre-pay for boxes. The boxes will be available for pick up on the delivery evening or the following morning at 101 Bear Street. Number of boxes available are limited. Register for your box online at banff.ca/register or call 403.762.1251.
