  1. Bow Valley Naturalists Presentation

    April 25, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ 101 Bear Street

    The Bow Valley Naturalists have been active in learning about local ecosystems and advocating for their protection since 1967. They host monthly meetings from October through April (except for December) on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 101 Bear Street. Guest speakers present lectures on natural history topics and environmental issues. Check www.bowvalleynaturalists.org for details on upcoming and past events.

Community Programs, Activities & Drop-In Sports

  1. Run Forest Run

    April 25, 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM @ 101 Bear Street, Pioneer Room (above the library)

    Gradually build your strength and stamina in this eight-week running course that will teach you the basics of creating a personal running program, as well as proper stretching, strengthening techniques, nutrition and injury prevention. Each session includes a group run on a mix of roads and trails with a focus on off road destinations. You must be able to jog comfortably for five minute intervals. Instructor: Kiley Torti, Can-Fit Pro Personal Trainer & CESP Exercise Physiologist. Register by April 18.

    Looking for some action this week? Don’t have anyone to play with? Then head out to one of the Town of Banff’s action packed drop in badminton sessions! Come out and meet some new people get a sweat going and have some fun! All levels welcome, please arrive early to guarantee your space. Entrance to the gym is the back door on Beaver Street.     These ukulele classes are welcoming, inclusive and geared for you to succeed. No experience necessary. You will need to bring a ukulele, tuner and music stand for the first class.     Everyone is welcome at drop-in public skating at The Fenlands. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. No sticks, pucks, figure skating jumps or spins. International certified helmets are required to be worn by all skaters 12 and under, and are highly recommended for all skaters. Scheduled times are subject to change without notice.
