Celebrate national Bike Month in Banff with free events in the month of June. 

Bike Mentor Volunteers
This is a ride-matching service that connects beginner cyclists with an experienced rider in the community. You will spend time together planning routes for commuting and will enjoy a ride together as well. We are looking for volunteers for this program. Ride with the Mayor and Council 
Tuesday June 6, 12:10 – 1 p.m.
Hop on your Townie bike and join our mayor and members of Banff Town Council for a cruise around town. The pace is easy (townie bikes have one gear) and it’s a great way to get active and meet new friends. Starts at Town Hall. No registration required. (Cancelled if raining)

Townie Tuesday Rides

Hosted by RMCC - It’s no secret that bicycling is an amazing way to go out and explore or shed a few extra pounds. It's also an environmentally friendly and inexpensive source of transportation. Most of all, biking is loads of fun. Sometimes, bicycles and the thought of riding can be intimidating, but like all new activities biking requires practice. Try biking offers excellent no-risk, NO-cost way to give biking a try. Join Rundle Mountain Cycling Clubs coaches to learn the basics and get started. Trail Crew with the Bow Valley Mountain Bike Alliance
Wednesday nights, 6 p.m. till dark

Family Evening Ride with RMCC
Tuesday June 20, 6 – 7 p.m.
Hosted by Rundle Mountain Cycling Club. Enjoy a lovely family ride with an RMCC Bike Coach, followed by some ice cream down at the canoe docks. Will have two groups, one group will stick to the paved trails and the other will go around Fenland trail. If you need to rent bikes Banff Adventures is offering a 20% discount for this family ride.

Technical Climbing

Want to learn how to clean some of those tricky, techie sections on your climbs? Roots, rocks, logs, tight corners, loose sections … “Queen of Climbing” Coach Martha Handford will break it all down and share her secrets to help you become a climbing machine! Please contact RMCC to register.
