Winter 2015:
  • Whether you own or rent, you must clear the sidewalks outside your home of snow and ice to bare pavement within 24 hours of the last snowfall. If you don’t, you could face a fine of $100. Make arrangements to have your sidewalks cleared in your absence. If the Town has to clear your sidewalk, you’ll be charged an hourly labour rate, plus 25%. Find out more about what Good Locals Know.
  • If you're moving out of town, don't dump your furniture or appliances by garbage bins. Not only is it illegal, but it's also and an eyesore. The Town of Banff offers a free and convenient Large Item Pick-up service for residents. Book your pick-up early to make sure staff can get your unwanted large items before you leave town.
