Rent a Facility
Wedding facilities in BanffWe have the perfect municipal facility for your event, be it a wedding, family reunion, hockey tournament or corporate event. 

To start the booking process we require you to submit a completed Facility Booking Form. To check availability of a facility please call or email. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Application Process
1) Complete a Facility Rental Application

2) Submit the completed form to: The Fenlands, Banff Recreation Centre. ATTN: Facility Bookings. Located at 100 Norquay Rd. Box 1260, Banff, AB. T1L1A1. Email to

3) Upon receipt of your application, facility bookings staff will create a contract/permit for you based on availability. Please ensure all sections must be completed on the application for us to complete this transaction

4) Once you rental payment has been processed you will be issued a contract/permit to confirm your venue(s)

Additional Licenses, Insurance and Tariffs
Certain facility bookings must provide a copy of additional licensing and/or insurance certificates. It is the renter's responsibility to ensure that all required licenses and/or insurance are secured and provided to the facility booking staff prior to the date of event. 

All renters of Town facilities are required to inform the Town of Banff of any vendors hired to supply services to your event. Town of Banff business licenses are required for vendors hired by the renter.

If you require insurance your certificate must include:
  • a minimum $2 million (per occurrence) of General Liability coverage and
  • The Town of Banff and Her Majesty the Queen in the Right of Canada as represented by the Parks Canada Agency must be named as additional insured.

In some cases, you can purchase coverage through the Town of Banff’s insurance provider for approximately $200 per booking. This requires a minimum of one week notice. Any booking(s) that have alcohol or are considered a high risk activity requires insurance. Please contact the facility booking staff for details.

Conditions of Use
Each facility has Conditions of Use to which renters are required to adhere.


Full payment is required at time of booking to confirm your rental. Any facility booking that exceeds a total of $1000 can be considered a unique, large scale booking and payment provisions can apply. In the case of a large-scale booking, the deposit required will be a minimum of $1,000 or 25% of the total booking, whichever is greater.

Payment for all Town of Banff facilities can be made by Visa, MasterCard, debit, cheque or cash.  

If notice of cancellation is more than 30 days from date of event 75% of the rental payment will be refunded; less than 30 days from date of event, no refund will be issued.

Refunds will be processed by the processed by the finance department if payment has been made by cheque, debit or cash. The facility booking staff are only able to refund credit card payments.
