  2. After School Program for Immigrants

    May 22, 3:10 PM - 4:30 PM @ Banff Elementary School

    The After School Club is for Immigrants in Grades 1 to 6 takes place on Wednesdays at Banff Elementary School. This free program focuses on developing your child’s communication skills and building friendships through fun activities and outdoor play. A light snack will also be provided. The After School Club is facilitated by the Settlement Services in the Bow Valley’s team - Jeanie Godfrey, Anna-Lisa Christilaw and Amanda Burrowes. It will run every Wednesday until June 19th, 2013, (excluding holidays and professional development days). Parents must register their child and complete a waiver in advance. Please contact Anna-Lisa at settlement.support@banff.ca for further information or to enroll your child.

The Art Market features 33 local artists who will be selling their unique arts and crafts. There will also be a bake sale table with yummy treats!

  2. 7 Days of Art

    This week, and this week only, you’re allowed to write on the walls. Chalkboard walls that is. It's part of a new event offered by the Community Services department of the Town of Banff to encourage creativity and community interaction. 7 Days of Art features eight chalkboards located around Banff, such as at Town Hall, Central Park, 3 Ravens Courtyard, the Bison Courtyard, the YWCA and each of the schools. Anyone and everyone is invited to draw, doodle, share an inspiring poem or get creative with chalk. The chalk walls are themed gratitude, adventure, freestyle and community ideas to help inspire and prompt you with a daily question or idea. 7 Days of Art is made possible by a generous grant from Banff Soroptomists.
