The Basement is a youth drop-in space where students can hang out, play games, create music, art, do homework, etc.
This program is for students in Grades 7 to 10.
There's a shuffle board, a Foosball table, an old school table top arcade game (Pac Man and Donkey Kong!), a music room with guitars, keyboard, percussion as well as an iMac, a microphone and Garage Band to record your tracks. We even have a karaoke machine! There is a library, lots of couches and every day, there are plenty of snacks to be had. There are art supplies and places to plug in to do homework.
This supervised space is really meant to be a place where students can go and hang out after school.
The Basement is open Monday - Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. and is located in the basement of 214 Banff Avenue through the back doors.
